 The Machine Shop is where everything gets built. Vehicles, powerplants, weapons, armor, etc... It's all built and stored online. Got a design you want to share with the world, or are you willing to help us out with the Herculean task of putting all of Car War's stuff online? Pull up a chair, click on a link to the left, grab a hammer and tap that keyboard. First though, be sure to click on the help button at the bottom of each page and read its support info. The game system did not flawlessly carry over to the internet and a few modifications needed to be made. For instance, all car bodies now come with a base handling class which the suspension modifies (the result is the same but the method is different). Likewise, a few new fields have been added to help the system as a whole - such as Gamewise which allows the vehicle sheet creator to append rules associated with different pieces of equipment to the vehicle sheet. When you are finished and everything is perfect, be sure to click the Complete checkbox. Until this is done your item will not be visible to other people using the site. Duplicating an Item - is incredibly easy and valuable trick to know when making things like armored hubcaps and powerplants. Go to the showroom, bring up an items description and click Edit at the bottom of the page. If you are the person who put the item into the database, right below the name field will appear a check box offering to make a duplicate of the item. If it is not your item, any changes you make to that record will result in a duplicate item. Just be sure to alter the name! You cannot make duplicate items which have the same name. |
