The NeWt The Newt is a demonstration of what it's like to use the Frog for gaming. It's not a tutorial. It basically plops you and your character into the Frog chat and lets you click yourself silly (admittedly, because of this, many of the director's functions have been scaled back for saftey's sake. Ex: you can modify the two battleboards but you cannot create more and the Adventure Center which lets you use the modules online has been removed). Unlike the normal Frog, there is no director running the game and the director's controls are open to anyone willing to try them out, so while you can use the Newt for an impromptu gaming session - if it ever goes this far, it's probably best to just switch to the Frog and set up a formal adventure. Also, unlike the Frog, the adventure you have in the Newt will not append itself to your character as a Tale of Adventure. To start, just check the characters you want with you out of the list below and click the Go to the Game button. If there are no characters in the list below, that is probably because you have yet to build one which qualifies. All characters must be marked as complete. Free members may not use characters greater than 10th level. The Newt is also world specific so you might want to change the world to the ToAd where everything is visible. Lastly, don't forget to click the Connect button once you get there! |
