Tales of Adventure will be shutting down on March 17th. Please make print-outs of whatever you happen to have online because by March 18th it will be gone.

Change Rule Use

Rule Use controls whose contributions to the ToAd shows up on the site. The colorful image attached to each appears on the bottom of every page as a constant reminder of what setting you are in. Clicking it will bring you back to this page.

No matter what setting you choose, player made items will be marked by a green dot and system made ones will have a silver dot. The characters you create will not be "altered to fit" the current rule use setting when you change rule use. If you create a character using something picked up in Ubitquitous mode it will still be there when you switch over to Official mode - so watch those dots!

Ultimately, whether an item can be used in a game or not depends on you and your game master. However it is generally accepted that you can't go wrong using nothing but the official rules (especially since we created them!)

This includes everything made by everyone in the ToAd system. It's not the best for creating characters or adventures but it is a fun way to see what other people have been making.

This setting displays items made by the creators of the ToAd, you yourself, and the people you have tagged to be a part of your fellowship. Use this setting to tailor your game to the designs of your game group.
