Change

This line controls the character's vital statistics.

The first value box on the left controls wear damage. The combo box next to it indicates whether it is Fortitude or Vitality (Fort or Vit) being lost.

The second value box is for wounds, likewise its combo box indicates whether physical or mental wounds (PW or MW) are being effected.

The last combobox, if set on Lose will remove points, and if set on Gain it will heal them. Clicking changes the character's vital statistics in the character table and reports it to the Game Chat like so....

The Table: Cochise loses 11 Vit.

It is good to watch the color of the vital statistics in the character table. When a score drops within 10% of its original score, it will darken as a warning. When a score drops below zero it turns black. A black Vit or Fort results in unconsciousness. A black MW or PW means the character will die once his or her corresponding Vit or Fort also goes black. Since death rarely actually means death in a role playing game, nothing happens so far as the Frog is concerned. It is up to the player and the director to decide how the character will be disposed of. Typically the visibility button is used to remove the corpse or vegetable from the character table.

Healing damage is especially easy, just click the silver button in the Change line. This summons the Regeneration pop-up....

In this instance Cochise is taking a thirty minute nap. On the very last line we see the statistics he will recover to. Clicking this line will replenish the vital statistics and write it into the Game Chat like such....

The Table: Cochise has spent 30 minutes regenerating: 11 Vit.

Unlike the normal use of the change line, the regeneration pop-up only takes a character up to their normal level of statistics. You cannot naturally regenerate to better vital scores than what the character originally had.
