The Frog Page

Finally, you've made it to the game! It mostly takes place on one page which looks a bit like this (click to see the whole thing)....

The game page is actually a framework of five interconnected pages. The most important page is invisible. It's very small and does nothing but load every second gathering and refreshing information from the databases – thus creating the chat room effect. An unfortunate side effect of this is that it may cause your cursor to flicker. It's a bit annoying yet it shouldn't effect the use of your browser. At best it does show you that everything is working okay.

Known bug! If the cursor is not flickering, or if the page doesn't seem to be responding, then you've hit the Frog's most common bug: there is no way to control which page in the framework gets loaded first and some of the pages rely on elements in the other pages to be present when they load. Thankfully, fixing it is easy: hit the Browser's Refresh button.

Recent update! Something of a remedy has been found for this problem. Beneath the character tables on both the main chat page and the battleboard page has been placed a Connect button. When the pages come up they are static. Clicking the Connect button will put it all into motion, and change the caption of this button to Disconnect. As can be guessed. clicking it now will disconnect you from the server. If the page ever seems to freeze up, disconnecting and then reconnecting will work just as well as hitting the Refresh button. If this becomes a frequent problem please contact us about it.

The Game Page is divided into three major parts: the Character Table, the Game Chat, and the Babble Box. Basically, the Character Table shows you what characters are currently active. The Game Chat contains the action of the game. And the Babble Box contains all non-game related chatting.
