Game Worlds

Game Worlds & Changing Them

The ToAd is a true Universal System, all rules apply everywhere and do not vary from planet to planet. However, not everything which exists in this universe is equally available throughout it; hence the concept of the Game World. Think of a Game World as a giant filter. When set in place it limits a player's options and thus colors the game's atmosphere. While most people do not like the idea of being limited, in the ToAd this is a very good thing. It keeps you from being overwhelmed by the amazing number of choices which are actually available.

Keep in mind that one of these game worlds is not like the others (in truth, none of them are like the others, but that's beside the point), The game world known as "The ToAd" is a catch-all world which offers everything. This setting is primarily used by designers interested in seeing how the game is laid out and not wanting to create redundant items which are simply hidden by the current world.

How does one set a world in place? By clicking it in the list to the left. On this side of the screen you will get a quick run-down of the world. There will also be a noticable change in the look of the site, but realize that this is just the framework, you haven't actually left the ICE..
