Goddamn frigid witch tit mountains. Haven to monsters and little else. I've heard that it goes on forever. No matter where you go, there it is, looming just north of the good lands with its long rolling gray ridges. It's like a giant wave of stone I tell you, total doom ready to crash over the land.
Mazelands is a catchall term for the seemingly endless mountain range north of Hazelred and Evergreen. The name is ancient and rumored to come from either the maze-like quality of its valleys which tend to twist and turn without reason, or possibly the presence of many abandoned cities and other ruins located in strange places which no one would ever think to build.
One thing known for certain is that the Mazelands are home to innumerable subhumanoid tribes who routinely raid the south for food and supplies.
