What's New

ToAd

Welcome to the ToAd, an online old-fashioned hi-tech universal pencil/paper/dice role playing game (whew! hold on, let me catch my breath). Which is also known as a Model Reality Kit, or MRK for short. What is the difference between an RPG and an MRK? The answer is: Not Much. The ToAd still plays like those boxed adventure games you use to play as a kid. A bunch of friends gather together with sheets of statistics called “characters” which they lead through imaginary adventures where lives hang on the will of some of the funkiest looking dice to ever rattle across a table.

Where the ToAd differs from the rest of the gaming world is in this site. All of its stuff is built and stored online. Characters, races, equipment, spells, game worlds, everything.... The idea is that you build what you need here, print it out, and then leave the computer behind to play the game as you normally would. Doing this keeps the game as up to date as possible. It also means not having to spend a fortune in expansion packs or spend endless nights reading up on obscure rules. The end effect is an easy to play yet surprisingly realistic and involving game.

New to the ToAd? If so, your first stop should be Documents (above) to download and read over the Campaign Book. This is the ToAd's sole rule book. If you like it, click Join Today and fill out a member profile – it's free!

As a Game World? The ToAd is not a real game world. This setting encompasses everything in the system, largely for the sake of its designers who need to be sure they are not creating redundant items. While it is not impossible to have an adventure in the ToAd Game World, for most it would be overkill – offering so much it doesn't offer anything at all.
