Getting Started

How does one get started?

1. Go over to the Documents Page and download the latest incarnation of our Player's Handbook. Give it a read and decide whether or not you actually want anything to do with the ToAd.
2. If yes, go to our sign-up page and grab a free membership. This will allow you to build and edit up to five characters.
3. Characters are built online and printed on your printer. We do have formal character sheets that can be filled in by hand, but this is only because web pages still have a way to go before being truly printer friendly.
4. If you like the system and need more than five characters, sign up for a Player's Membership.
5. If you really like the system and want to try designing Races, Arms and such, sign up for a Director's Membership.
6. And lastly, if you seem to have any problems getting stuff to work, check out the browser settings on our General Help page.

Actually, the real last part of that list is to go have fun. As complex as it may be under the hood, on the table top (or wherever you and your friends play it) the ToAd is designed to be easy to learn and fast to play. Enjoy!
