A Dictionary of Terms

Back in the early 80's, just as gaming began to sky rocket, my sister had an older friend who would turn green when he would catch me talking in terms of levels, abilities, turns and xps. "My God," the guy would say through gritted teeth, "he's starting to talk like one of them." This, of course, might have had something to do with me being one of them (do ya think?). Admittedly, any time a big system of thought comes into discussion, it will bring with itself a bevy of seemingly esoteric terms. Every circle of friends will eventually develop its own vocabulary.
